What is Powder Coating ?
Powder Coating is the application of a solvent free mixture of resins, pigments and fillers through an electrostatic process that is then cured in an oven. During the curing process, a chemical reaction occurs in the powder producing a highly durable finish as it melts and flows smoothly and evenly over the surface of the substrate being coated.

Why Powder Coat ?
The performance characteristics of Powder Coating meet or exceed those of traditional solvent based liquid coatings. Powder Coating looks like paint but acts like armor. It’s a tough, flexible, attractive finish that is extremely resistant to corrosion, chemicals, chipping, cracking, heat, impact, abrasion, fading from UV rays and extreme weather. Powder Coating is environmentally friendly using no solvents that contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Powder Coating can be applied much thicker than liquid paint to hide minor surface imperfections and wipes clean with mild soap and water.

Where is Powder Coating Being Used ?

What About Color Options ?
Some people think that Powder Coating only comes in boring industrial colors. Not true! Powder Coating comes in all of the colors of the rainbow. It can mimic chrome and gold plating. It comes in translucent (candy) colors, metallic colors, neons, different textures including hammertones, wrinkles and veins. Powder Coating is even available as a clear coating to protect natural metal finishes (a clear top coat over any powder color enhances the color depth). Most coatings are available in different glosses ranging from flat to a mirror finish that will rival even the best custom paint work. What Can Be Powder Coated ?
Anything that can hold an electrostatic charge and withstand curing temperatures of up to 400 degrees can be Powder Coated. Common substrates include Steel, aluminum, chrome, magnesium, brass, copper, cast metals and most alloys. Basically, if it’s metal, we can Powder Coat it.
